If you want to visit the Table Mountain yourself, here is everything you need to know:
- Before leaving for the hike up the Table Mountain or take the Cableway, call Table Mountain to see the weather condition and operational status of the Cableway. They can be reached at +27 21 712 0527
- We recommend you do not go during cloudy period. The best time to go is during sunset and during November to February, the cableway ticket are half price, excluding certain dates. If you have a South African National ID, your ticket is free on your birthday.
- There is a cafe on top of Table Mountain, but it is just insanely expensive, so bring your own snacks and drinks. But please respect the environment by throw the rubbish in the trash bin. Please do not feed the animals or touch the plants.
- If you want to hike up, PLEASE DO NOT DO IT ALONE, there is a lot of steep drops. Remember, safety first!

Be sure to have myCiti prepaid bus card for the transfer.
Table Mountain is well connected by Cape Town Integrated Rapid Transit system, MyCiTi, it stops right outside the Lower Cable Station, where you can purchase your tickets. The MyCiTi bus route that runs from the V&A Waterfront to Camps Bay stops at the top of Kloof Nek Road (route number 106 and 107, Waterfront Silo / Civic Centre / Camps Bay). Where you can transfer to MyCiTi shuttle (route 110) that runs from Kloof Nek Road, up Tafelberg Road and right to the Lower Cableway Station. The service runs from when we open until 7pm every day.
